ZINC

Zinc protects steel by providing a physical barrier as well as cathodic protection for the underlying steel. Simply stated, Zinc sacrifices itself to protect the steel. Zinc is commonly specified by electronics, automotive, water works, construction, and on-shore fastener industries. The advantages of Zinc include good corrosion resistance, formability, aesthetics, high strength, light weight, and relatively low cost. Southwestern Plating offers barrel, rack, automated, and manual Zinc plating to service our customers.
